Lonnie G. Harper and Associates, Inc. works with Cameron Prairie Nation Wildlife Refuge to directly restore approximately 65 acres of open water marsh. This marsh will serve as habitat for fur-bearing species, as well as migratory waterfowl that passes through Cameron Parish. This area was restored by utilizing dredge spoil material from the Calcasieu River Loop Pass dredging project. This project will help provide additional storm surge protection to the populated areas of South Lake Charles. Award of this project to Lonnie G. Harper and Associates, Inc. further confirms the expertise possessed by our staff with coastal restoration activities.
